Our thoughts are with everyone effected by the Shoreham Airshow disaster
At the weekend a local disaster saw the death of many local people. We came across one of many images shared was one of our own photographs taken a couple of years ago. It was used to make a moving tribute to those who have been affected by the Shoreham Airshow disaster, on Saturday 22nd August. Instagram user Coachtmatthews – posted our photograph with his words of tribute;
You Shall always be remembered and loved by those that have lost you.
We as strangers say Rest In Peace and watch over those left behind.
You will not be forgotten.

On Wednesday we walked over to the Shoreham Toll Bridge to pay our respects to those that have lost their lives. This event has affected everyone local to Shoreham, with the community on both sides of the airport, in Lancing and Shoreham coming together as one community.
With the focus now on the recovery of the deceased our thoughts are also with the teams of Officers and Police staff located to this long hard task. The weather has been awful with torrential rain and we know the area well, it’s boggy underfoot and overgrown which will make all that much harder.
Sadly the next of kin will have to be patient while this painstaking process occurs.
